Deciduous Shrub : Ht. 3-6' W 3-6'. 

Prefers moist silt loams to peat & mucks. Full sun. Colonizing species of wet meadows. Erect branching. White flower spikes in July. Yellow-red fall color. Excellent for shorelines.
