Terminology
Full sun: Direct light all day.
Part shade: Direct light for six to eight hours.
Filtered light: Light under a tree canopy can reach the ground.
Shade: Light under a tree canopy cannot reach the ground.

Soil moisture:
Wet: Soils are moist during most the year.
Wet - Mesic: Excessively wet during spring or after heavy rainfalls; often dry during the summer season.
Mesic: Moderately moist; water soaks into soils without run-off.
Dry - Mesic: Well drained.
Dry: Excessively drained.

Calcareous: Plant requires alkaline soil pH of 7 to 8.
Acidic: Plant requires acidic soil pH of 4 to 6.
Aggressive: Plant may spread by seeds or roots.
Rhizomatous: Spreads by creeping horizontal underground stems.
Cool season: Plant growth occurs during the spring & autumn season when soil temperatures are cool.
Warm season: Plant growth occurs during the summer when soil temperatures are warm.

Sources
Our native plants, naturally occurring in the river bottoms, flood plains, prairies, woods and savannas of the Twin Cities Region, are at this time from seed or cutting sources within 300 miles of our nursery. Most are actually from sources in the local area. We are committed to providing plants that are regionally specific. Call for information on contract growing site specific plants.

Container Grown
Container grown is a plant which is "rooted in" a container and is actually growing in the container. It is not a "potted" or "containerized" plant which is a bare root plant recently placed in a container with growing media. When a container grown plant is planted properly, it quickly acclimates to its new environment and will continue to develop its roots and shoots, virtually eliminating maintenance and replacement costs.

Terms
25% non-refundable down payment required to hold plants to be picked up or delivered 14 days out from time of order. Net payment 30 days to those with established accounts, otherwise, cash, check and C.O.D. All new accounts desiring credit, please contact us for an Application. Interest in the amount of 1.5% per month is charged on past due (over 30 days) accounts. State sales tax of 6.5% is applied to taxable accounts. Quantity discounts are for same size and variety of plant. Plants must be picked up/delivered at the same time to receive quantity discounts. All prices quoted are F.O.B. Out Back Nursery, Denmark Township, MN. Some exclusions may apply.

State License
Out Back Nursery, Inc. is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture as a Nursery Stock Grower and is inspected on an annual basis. License #20014223

Sales Tax
State sales tax of 6.5%, if applicable. For tax exemption, we must have a completed Sales Tax Exemption Form on file for any entity or we are required by law to charge and collect sales tax at the time of sale. If you need a form, please call our office.

Warranty
Out Back Nursery, Inc. will replace one time any woody plant which fails within one year of purchase from our market price list. Any plant in question must be inspected and original invoice is required before warranty can be honored.
Note: Warranty not available on wholesale purchases.

The catalog includes an open market price list.
We also offer wholesale pricing intended for use by those licensed in growing and selling of nursery products, and qualifying non-profit organizations. The most current price list available will cancel all previous lists. Prices are subject to change without notice. All prices quoted are F.O.B. Out Back Nursery, Denmark Township, MN.

Note on pick up:
When picking up orders please bring tarps or suitable covering to protect your plants. Even a short trip can kill nursery stock. Note Regarding Pets: For the safety and serenity of all, please keep pets home or at your vehicle. Water for pets is available, please ask.

Shipping is available; please call for rates.
Note: C.O.D. orders cannot be dropped without proper payment (cash or check). To insure timely deliveries and minimize cost, unloading assistance is requested.

Restocking Fee
There is a 20% restocking fee on any accepted returns and on orders not picked up or cancelled after 30 days. We reserve the right to determine if plants are in acceptable condition.

Wholesale Claims
Claims for any cause must be made within five days of invoice. All shipments travel at purchaser's risk. We warrant to the extent of the purchase price that the stock is true to name. Seller gives no other warranty, expressed or implied, and will not under any circumstances be liable for more than the invoice value at the time of purchase. We cannot assume any warranty as to productiveness after transplanting.
