Deciduous shrub : Ht. 10-12' W 10-12'. 

Prefers moist, well-drained soils. Flood intolerant. Full sun to part shade. Found in mixed woodlands and ravines. 5" white flower panicles followed by scarlet red berry clusters. Bird magnet.
