Perennial : Ht. 3-4' W 12". 

Wet to mesic loam soils, tolerates clay.  Full sun. Beautiful flat-top clusters of pinkish-red flowers in July. Attractive seed pods in fall, often used in floral arrangements. Found at edges of marshes. Attracts butterflies.
